Sigh.
I don't love the media POV of hobbies that younger people are choosing to engage in because they're longing for less screen time: knitting, letter writing, stamp collecting, writing in journals, reading tangible books (instead of e-books), crossword puzzles & word searches in tangible paperbacks, coloring in coloring books, paper crafting like origami...
....why does there have to be an age factor on this phenomenon?
We don't do this with, say, sports, or any physical activity. Well, maybe ballroom dancing, but that activity gets propped up by "Dancing With The Stars".
Why can't it just be -- I'm interested in things that don't include a screen?
Young people have enough to deal with -- the last thing they need is to be called old in their youth. (Don't get me started on the negative bias that exists for older folks....)
Wishing all you young people happy collecting and joyful creating and happy be-ing.
